Keswick to Keswick, the long way round
The Route
One continuous loop starting and finishing in Keswick. The map below is drawn from Nick's own route file, and every distance and height on this page is measured from it rather than estimated.
It is a planning route, not the final summit by summit line. It fixes the shape, the mileage and the climbing. The exact order of the 214 tops, and the precise line over each one, gets worked out on the hill.

The Whole Loop
Terrain, topographic and satellite layers are switched from the control in the top right of the map. Scroll zoom is off until you click the map, so the page keeps scrolling normally.

Ten days, split by distance
Day By Day
These splits are calculated by dividing the route into ten equal distances. The real days will not be this tidy. Weather, daylight, injury and how the body is holding up decide where each day actually ends.

The ones everybody knows
Landmark Summits
These are the named tops the route file is confirmed to pass over. Each one is matched on position and on the height recorded in the file, so nothing in this list is guesswork.
The heights shown are the published summit heights. All 214 fells are the target for the round itself, and the planning file does not yet cross every one of them.

About this data
Distance, ascent, high points and day splits are all calculated directly from route.gpx, the route file recorded by Nick Samworth - Rossendale and Pendle MRT. The published campaign figures are rounded, so they will not match to the metre.
Elevation in the file comes from a digital terrain model rather than a barometer, which reads a few metres low on sharp summits. The file is a planning route: it carries the right distance and the right amount of climbing, but it does not yet trace a line over all 214 tops. Drop a newer GPX file in and every figure, stage and summit on this page recalculates from it.
